Fix slow Wi-Fi
Separate an internet problem from a Wi-Fi coverage problem.

- Run a speed test close to the router, then repeat in the room where the connection feels slow.
- Restart the modem or router once and wait several minutes for it to reconnect fully.
- Place the router high and open, away from metal, thick walls, microwave ovens and crowded cabinets.
- Test another device. If every device is slow even near the router, contact the internet provider with the results.
Follow the official instructions for your device or service. Back up important data before changing settings or attempting repairs.
