Improve writing with AI
Draft, revise and simplify while keeping your own meaning and voice.
6 min read · General educational guidance
- Give the audience, purpose, facts that must remain unchanged and a short sample of your normal tone.
- Ask for an outline or first draft, then revise accuracy, logic and unnecessary repetition.
- Read the final version aloud and remove claims, promises or language you would not personally use.
Practical example
Paste a non-sensitive draft and ask for a change log under three headings: unclear sentences, repeated ideas and unsupported claims. Accept or reject each suggestion instead of replacing the whole draft blindly.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Letting the model invent statistics, quotations or experience you do not have.
- Asking for “better writing” without naming the audience and purpose.
- Publishing without reading the entire final version in your own voice.
